PHP is a server-side scripting language sometimes used for web development and can be embedded into HTML.
Between March 1 and 30, 2017, servers will automatically be upgraded to PHP 5.6. If a customer website uses functionality from a legacy version of PHP that is not updated prior to their upgrade date, there may be issues with their website. Customers should ensure they are using the most current version of PHP prior to March 1, 2017. The PHP Manager application will be upgraded to give customers the ability to select PHP 5.6 to test and preview their accounts.
You will be able to preview you website using PHP 5.6 prior to the upgrade by visiting their preview URL with “php56” appended, such as mydomain.php56.previewmysite.com where “mydomain” is the customer domain. If your preview URL contains additional formatting, such as c25.sitepreviewer.com, then your PHP 5.6 preview URL will be formatted with a "php56-" prefix, for example php56-c25.sitepreviewer.com
For detailed information on deprecated functionality, refer to Backward Incompatible Changes or Deprecated Features for the appropriate PHP version here: http://php.net/manual/en/appendices.php
Knight Web Services will continue to support the newest versions of PHP as they become available.
